All of the Paradigm Pipeline meetings have been
completed for 2017. it was good to connect with rnany
‘H of you again. If there is any way we can assist you with

your damage prevention needs beiore the next round of

meetings, don't hesitate to contact us.

As most or you know, west Virginia is one of a very few

states that does NOT have enfnrczmnnl legislation in
place as deiined and required by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
(PHMSA). [know it is a controversial issue, but one that must be addressed. Reeently
courtlandt smith (WV81l Board member), Trina Bell (WK/311) and l were registered as
lobbyists far west Virginia 811 l-lopeiully, we can and will begin the process of identifying
the necessary steps ior moving forward with this irnporiant piece of legislation designed
to promote public saiety and to protect all of our vital underground inirastruciure. This
magazine will address our progress and the challenges we iaee in 2013. l hope you will get
engaged with the eitorts on behalf or our common goal or damage prevention
Also, I want to announce a couple of changes to our ticket soitware. First, have you
downloaded our new app? The west Virginia 811 app is now available for both Apple and
Android. Just go to the appropriate App store, download the app and check us out. second,
those of you who use the Portal will notiee that Google Earth mapping is available (or you to
use to identify location ior your convenience. Let us know how that works out for you.
